After talking to Dogs Finding Dogs, we went and put the fliers up to look for lost kitty, Opey, and we stopped at a few houses as well. I had to go grocery shopping to stock up for my friend Ina’s homecoming today, so I proceeded to do that. Ina is 81 and she never had children so Opey is her only child. My heart was so very heavy, knowing how sad she would be to come home with no Opey.

After I finished at her house, I decided to go home and try one more time, if the rain was stopped. On the way home, I prayed to God and my mom. My mom was blessed with eight of us children and over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even nine great-great-grandchildren. She always felt bad for Ina who did not have any children.

On my way home I prayed to God, but mostly to my mom, reminding her how lucky she was to have had so much family and poor Ina only had Opey and to please, please, please help me find him. At around 11:30 p.m. I took a flashlight and circled our property, calling to Opey, telling him his mama was coming home and she was going to be so sad if he wasn’t there, it started raining… and then VOILA! There he was!

Thank you DFD so much for all your help. It was because you told me that missing pets were almost always nearby hiding that I decided to give it one more try. So again, thank you. And thank you Mom!!!
